WV Court Records
West Virginia court records are maintained by the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and individual circuit, family, magistrate, and municipal courts. Many records are available through the state’s online case management systems.
Magistrate Court
Section titled “Magistrate Court”Magistrate Court records are available through the Magistrate Court Record Search system. While this portal provides access to case information, actual court filings can be obtained by contacting the assigned court directly.
Circuit Court
Section titled “Circuit Court”Circuit court records are available through the WV Public Access Search System (WVPASS), the state judiciary’s online portal for searching case information by party name, case number, and other criteria.
Supreme Court of Appeals
Section titled “Supreme Court of Appeals”Opinions, orders, and case information for the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals are available through the court’s official website.
